This was my weekend off. I enjoyed it doing Absolutely Nothing. lol

It was meant to be that way though. I did have things to do.

BUT I did nothing. lol Which was Great!

BUT I will pay for it this week!

Four days off of work, makes a person VERY lazy, and makes a person NOT want to go back!

Ahh... it's bittersweet! :)

I've been debating with myself for quite some time now whether Xanga is the blogging site for me. Several people have switched over to blogger, typepad, and myspace. I have a myspace and facebook account that I usually keep updated... I'm not big on myspace though. I don't see it as a blogging site, but more as a networking site. And I prefer facebook to myspace anyway. I tried out blogger a while back.... I don't think it's for me. Typepad... looks nice, but it's not right for me at the moment.

SO....

I just started a livejournal account, which really is nothing special compared to xanga. BUT I thought I would try it out.

For those of you who have tried out other blogging sites, which do you prefer, other than xanga?

I plan to keep my xanga site to keep up with my subscriptions here with all of the wonderful people I've met here. And I will start updating more regularly. Here and at livejournal. I just feel like I've been so absent in the blogging world. And now I'm trying to play catch up. lol

Alas, here I go again. :) I hope to rekindle old friendships here, make new ones, and keep up. :)

PS. Here lately I cannot STOP the HP madness. ;) I can no longer wait for HBP!!!!

2008.... Here I come!

Wow. It has been some time since I updated this. I'm not even sure where to begin.

I have tried to keep up with everyone else, but I haven't updated since the summer!!!! Wow. Not even after my little guy's first birthday celebration in July... why didn't I? Laziness... procrastination.... busy-ness (lol)... other priorities... I guess a little of all of them.

Last semester was a pretty rough one. I failed astronomy... oh my gosh... I won't even go there because I want to be positive with this new year. We'll just say that it wasn't because of my grades. Anywho... the new semester starts back up on Jan. 15th for moi. I will be going Tuesdays and Wednesdays and one KET telecourse, with a total of 14 credit hours. And working as well, so that just about takes up that time.

Our year went by extremely fast. Seems like I blinked and missed about half of it. Time goes by faster and faster with each new year I think... especially when you're a parent. Gosh... where does it go? Aiden has grown so much this year... he will be 18 months old this month... Can you believe it? Seems like just a couple of months ago, he was so tiny and in my arms... now I hardly get a moment to get him to stay in my arms. He's a wild one. lol. Such a talker... always saying something new and learning something each day. I love that little guy more than I could have ever dreamt.

We had a pretty good year, but at the same time, 2007 was pretty hard for us as well...
1. my parents divorce was final... OUCH! That is something that I am still struggling with, and probably always will I guess.
2. my mother in law was diagnosed with cancer in the advanced stages... it has spread throughout her body... they didn't think she would last this long, but she is still with us... she doesn't have any insurance at all... her spouse is well... less than admirable in this situation I suppose... please just keep her in your prayers.
3. it has been one emotional year for us..

Anyway... this year is going to be different for us and most definitely for me. I am getting some things in order in my life. I won't post any of my New Year's Resolutions this year, because they are going to be applied to my life slowly and I don't wanna just list them and think they will happen... determined I am. I will achieve them.

Busy little Bee!

For the past few ~~days..~~ No, I mean weeks. I have been SUPER busy!!! I have so many things to do and so little time. ARGH! I am beginning to feel just a tiny bit stressed out. HA! And by tiny, I really mean hugely! ;)

I have started working 5 days a week now. I can handle that... for now. When the new school semester begins (August 20) I will have to go back down to 4 days a week. I will be having classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays... so this schedule is no where near as bad as the past few semesters. BLUGH! Anyway... I will be taking classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays...
Tuesdays:
12:30 to 1:45 pm >>> MAT 105
2:00 to 4:45 pm >>> CSC 104
6:00 to 7:50 pm >>> AST 135 (LEC)
8:00 to 9:50 pm >>> AST 135 (LAB)

Thursdays:
12:30 to 1:45 pm >>> MAT 105
2:00 to 4:45 pm >>> ENG 102
5:00 to 6:50 pm >>> BIO 100 (LEC)
7:00 to 8:55 pm >>> BIO 100 (LAB)

Which comes to a total of 15 credit hours (again). Hope I will do better this semester. Clean slate. New start.

WOW! Didn't mean to get off topic with school... Work. Work is going great. I really like working there and I have always enjoyed working with the public (Crazy.. I know). It has it's moments. HA! like I mentioned in a previous post, it isn't the snazziest job and it isn't the BEST pay... but it helps out and I like it. That's all that matters.

Anyway... we took Aiden to the park last week... He LOVED it! I will post pictures below. We plan to return very soon. :)

Speaking of my little guy... he is going to be ONE YEAR OLD on Wednesday! I cannot believe time has gone by that fast! I'm so happy and excited, but I am so sad all at the same time. He is getting to be such a little boy now instead of a baby! He is going to convert to the toddler side... oh my! What will I do?! Before long, he will be shaving, going to college (hopefully), and moving out and getting married.. then Michael and I will become grandparents.. OH MY! *tear* lol, ok Andie, let's not get too ahead of ourselves... But still yet, all of you Mommy's out there know exactly how I feel.

And... coming on to another issue... Aiden is beginning to throw temper tantrums (EEK!!!!) He will throw his pappy (pacifier), hit people, smack himself, bite people, bite himself.. scream! Why does he want to do this now? I know some of you have had experience with this. My aunt (well, my uncles wife--we're close in age... so it feels odd calling her my aunt.. lol) and I were talking about how our boys are doing this... I hate it! I just wonder why they want to be self-destructive, at such a young age! lol. Geez Louiez!

Besides trying to plan a Big Birthday Bash for the one year old man in my life, I need to clean... I have gotten so behind with cleaning. Grrr.... I need to make a schedule and stick to it. We are taking the birthday boy to the Louisville Zoo on Tuesday and on Wednesday, we have scheduled his first birthday hair cut.. first hair cut EVER. *tear... I love those curls! And afterwards, a birthday cupcake for the little one and a trip to the park and swimming. HOORAY! :)

My husband went four wheeling and camping in Barbourville last week (like 2ish hours away) with some buddies and here is a link to what went on.. They are such a wild bunch! lol Don't think I will be going there for a while.

Today has started off great! Aiden and I both slept in until 11... 11! I was in dire need of some sleep! I have felt so exhausted here lately... I'm not sure why... but I am just not feeling well these past few days.

So, let's see here, we woke up at eleven today and I gave him his bottle and a jar of pumpkin and pears (first time.. doesn't sound too yummy, but he liked them... he will eat anything) and some fresh cantelope. Then I baked some blueberry muffins. YUMM! Then I got started on dishes and laundry. Man, my house was almost perfect when we went on vacation, when we got back... I just wasn't up to cleaning... and I am finally getting into the swing of things again.

Our vacation was wonderful! It was the perfect temperature. Not miserly hot, not cool. Just right. BUT... I came home with a TERRIBLE sunburn. I had a very RED and blistered back from the sun. I NEVER burn, usually if I do at all it goes in with in the next day... not this time... I was in pain.. it hurt, it itched. YUCK! Now it is nice and tan, but it was horrible while it was sunburned.

Aiden loved the beach... He ate the sand.. and went "Num Num" (uck) and he loved the taste of the salt water. (ick) We would sit him down on the beach and sit behind him and the waves would come up on him... and he would get so excited! It was a wonderful moment. I will never forget it. I wish we had it on the video camera (the screen won't work on it... it is just black... it will record, but you can't see.. any idea what is going on?)

And Michael had only been to the ocean once before (our honeymoon) and it was too cold to enjoy it then. You should have seen him... he ran out to the ocean and stayed out there jumping waves and playing with my little brother forever. It was so cute... he was like a little boy out there. So excited. lol

But we had a really good time. Actually we were planning on going back to Nashville for the Country Music Festival instead of going somewhere big like the ocean because in reality we really didn't have the money to spend... but my mom and brother were going and they wanted us to go with them. We drove my car... which saved us bookoos of dollars on gas... It gets 30mpg so... that is great! We ate at Planet Hollywood for the first time ever and it was expensive considering the food. It cost Michael and I alone $50 with a $5 off coupon! The food was just bland... no flavor at all. I will never eat there again. The bathroom there was excellent though. lol If you have never ate there, it is worth it just for the bathroom... lol

While we were down there Aiden really came out of his shell and developed quite the little personality. The only down side was his temper tantrums... screaming NO NO NO NO! to all of us when we tried to get him to mind or do something. SHEW!

I was going to add pictures, BUT Michael or I have misplaced the camera... GRRR! Of course when I am ready to update I can't find the camera. At least it won't take long to upload when I do find it now... Hooray for DSL!

Aiden was 11 months old yesterday. It is so hard to believe that he will be celebrating his first birthday in less than a month! That's crazy! Time flies so fast. He actually started walking last Thursday night. He took 3 steps to me, and then turned around and took 12 more to me when Michael came in to see. I was so proud and so excited! AH! He now has 3 and one-half teeth! lol and is cuter than ever! Gosh, I love him so much!

I started a new job. It's nothing snazzy. I work at a convenient store 4 days a week for my neighbours. But I really enjoy it and it is the easiest job EVER! lol Hey, it's a job while I am in school still... No more restaurants for me.

We were going to go swimming today at my grandparents pool... (we live about 4 minutes from them) and go to Millenium Park in Danville and go to the library today.. BUT it has been raining all day, which is good because we really needed it. It was becoming SO dry here. Michael wasn't getting to mow any yards or even our own yard because of it being so dry. (He started mowing yards this summer for the extra money since work has been slow. He really likes it.) Now he will mow, bushhog and weedeat my dad's entire farm... that's a lot of work, but it pays well.

For the past year, he has been putting in applications for the railroad. He has never gotten called in for the interview until recently. He didn't really know how to make a good resume, so that's why he wasn't getting called before (I made this one.. he's not very business savvy. lol) So... Thursday morning he will be going for the interview... and I have mixed feelings about it. It would be an excellent opportunity (he loves trains... he would love it) they have good retirement, better wages, better insurance... but I think he would be gone a lot... he says he would be home as much as he would if he had overtime at the job he has worked at for 8 years. So, I don't know. I just hope God will lead him in the right direction. If he is supposed to get it and it will be for the better, God will provide. If not, it isn't meant to be. So just keep us in your prayers.

We watched Knocked Up last weekend... it was hilarious.. but dirty. There was like 3 kids in there like 6 years old... I would never take a kid to see something like that!

BUT.... I will find my camera hopefully today and try and get the pictures up.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am very much alive. I had to take a blogging break... well a break from my blog... I have been so overwhelmed with school, finals, job hunting, having my yard sales.. (second one in 2 weekends) and chasing after a very mobile ten month old, who now has the cutest two little teeth and is working on another. It has been so long, I know. Finals are this week, and a very busy week next as well... but I will try to get back into blogging and update with pictures sometime next week. I will keep reading up though.. when I can. But, for now, I should be studying for my ASL 101 final. eek. will return soon!

Oh my... updating 2 days in a row?!!

Not much to update here... have been cleaning like a crazy mad woman trying to get my house in order... it is driving me NUTS!!! Which is okay sometimes, but now just ugh. So yeah, what fun.

Anyway, a week or so ago, Michael noticed that I had been in a frump... and I had been wanting to go to Lexington (because it had been ages since I had went... 2months?) So yeah... we had a little mini shopping spree.. And I bought new curtains for our living room, Giada's Family Dinners cookbook, The Andy Griffith Show: the last season, a comfy new bra, a new skirt for church, a couple cute new shirts, and... I can't remember what else... but it was fun.

I have sociology tonight... which is SUPER boring!!!! EEK! Yawn.

Oh... anyone who knows me that well knows that I am a HUGE fan of Degrassi (whether they watch it or not) well, I am extremely mad about last weeks episode. In fact, I just can't get it off my mind. It was so sad. I cannot believe they killed JT off. What kind of people are they ?! GRRR.,... and poor liberty. Gosh! *tear* :)

Well, since this update is officically lame, I will just stop here since I have nothing important to post.

Will I everupdate again??!!!.. It has been SUPER long!... yeah a resolution was to keep this blog up and running.. HA! We see how good I am doing at that!!.. I'm sorry to just jump on the wagon and start talking about Resolutions! i haven't even began talking about Christmas yet have I?! hehe So... Christmas.... kinda late aren't I?! We had a wonderful Christmas!!!! We received many wonderful gifts and most importantly ate lots of good food... MMM! Seriously, BUT more importantly than that, we was able to Celebrate Jesus' birthday and spend time with our loved ones!

Now, I guess we could go onto RESOLUTIONS 2007! i have MANY! Where to start, where to start... i will just compose a list of them I guess.

Financial
Start putting more money into Savings!
Cut grocery bill in half! (try!)
Try menu planning.
Open Aiden's savings account.
Put $10 into Aiden's savings account every week.
Get some debts paid off.

Religious
Start getting back into church! Go every Sunday if possible.
Take Aiden to Sunday school every sunday!!
Start praying more each day.
Read the bible at least once for 15 minutes daily.
Worship with Michael.
Go "Church-browsing".

College
Go to all classes if possible.
If I have to miss, limit my absences to 2 classes.
Take a few summer courses.
Turn in all assignments on time!
STUDY!!!!!

Career
Start putting more applications and resumes in!
New job with good hours (M-F 8-5?) and decent pay (for Liberty).
Create a website for all of my products.
Increase mark. and Avon sales.
Hold a mark./Avon party.
Volunteer.
Start on my children's book.

Home
Keep my house presentable and drop in guest ready at all times!
Organize.
Start finishing one room at a time.

Start scrapbooking more. (at least once a week.)

Well, you get the point.

I started a diet yesterday... counting calories. EEK!!!... It'll prolly be hard for a while, but I am gonna try my best! I really need to get this baby weight off!!! I just hate it. Grrr!

School has been, WELL, School. BOO!.. hehe.. i can't WAIT till I am finished with college!!! While, I like all of my classes, I just hate to drive to Danville almost every night for school. YUCK-O. I feel like there isn't enough hours in the day!!! I am soooo stressed out here lately!! Here's my class schedule:

Now onto BIGGER AND BETTER things... my Beautiful son is now 6 months old. 6 MONTHS! It's hard to believe that 6 months ago I held this tiny little baby in my arms and was scared to death, yet so excited. Gosh, time flies by. Way. too. fast. I love him more than anything!!! He is soo funny. and cute. and adorable. and smart. lol. He tries so hard to talk and crawl and stand.
